Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How will I know what groups are available?
A: Each semester, a catalog will be produced listing the day, time, location, group facilitator and topic for each group.
The catalog will be available on Sunday, December 27th.
Q: How do I sign up for an Action Group?
A: You can sign up using a Connect Card, at the Action Group table in the Foyer or on our website.
Q: If I’m currently in a group, do I need to sign up?
A: Yes, we would appreciate everyone signing up for a group so we can help monitor the size of each group.
Q: How long is the commitment?
A: Most studies are between 6 and 12 weeks. After that time, you can sign up for another group or continue in your current group.
Q: What if I need a semester off?
A: We know that life gets busy and sometimes we need a break. We encourage everyone to be in a group at least 2 out of the 3 trimesters.
Q: Is being in a group a requirement of membership at PNC?
A: We encourage everyone who attends PNC to be a part of an Action Group. We expect members to participate in 2 out of the 3 trimesters.
Q: What kind of Action Groups are there?
A: Most are general groups, open to married/single and all ages. There are some groups specifically for men and women.
Q: Is there childcare available?
A: Childcare options will be listed in the catalog. “Family Friendly” groups means there is a provision for childcare. “Family Groups”
are groups where the children are included.
Q: Can I sign up for more than one Action Group? A: Yes
Q: Does this replace the Wednesday night “Halftime” classes?
A: Yes. All current Bible Studies, Classes and Small Groups will be brought under the Action Group banner. This enables us to provide a
variety of topics at a variety of times to fit people’s needs and schedules.
Q: Can I sign up once a group has started?
A: Sign ups will be allowed for two weeks after the trimester start. Then we will close registrations to ensure consistency within the groups.
Q: What if I’m new and I’ve come after the two week deadline?
A: We will let you know when the next semester is starting and will encourage you to sign up for the new groups.
We can also help you find a place to serve which is another connection point at PNC.
Q: Is there a cost for the groups?
A: Many groups will be using some type of book or workbook. The prices will be listed in the catalog.
