Action Groups

God wants you to have real life change. He calls each one to respond to his work within us. It's our responsibility to take action. Real change - discipleship - happens in relationship with Christ and others... together. Real change is not just academic but must be lived out daily in relationship. It's not just a thing to do, but something to apply. It's about equipping you to love and serve others.

PNC provides real change opportunity through Action Groups - a place where anyone can discover Christ and grow into Christ-likeness by learning and interacting within a community of believers. Elements of an Action Group are: biblical teaching, fellowship, follow-up throughout the week and prayer.

Action Groups are small groups of 15 or so people that run three trimesters lasting 6-12 weeks depending on the curriculum. There is a 3-4 week break between each trimester and a longer break during the summer months. You can stay with the same group each trimester or try out a new group - it's up to you.

Q: How will I know what groups are available? A: Each trimester, a catalog is produced listing the day, time, location, group facilitator and topic for each group. It is available at the church Information Center, and here on our website.	Q: How do I sign up for an Action Group? A: You can sign up using a Connect Card during Sunday Service; at the Action Group table in the church foyer during registration periods; and here on our website.
Q: Do I need to sign up if I'm currently in an Action Group? A: Yes - we would appreciate you signing up for a group so we can help monitor the size of each group.	Q: How long am I committed to a group? A: Most groups are between 6 and 12 weeks depending on the curriculum. After that time, you can continue in your current group or sign up for another group.
Q: What if I need to take a trimester off? A: We know that life gets busy and sometimes we need a break. We encourage everyone to participate in a group at least 2 out of 3 trimesters a year.	Q: Is being in an Action Group a membership requirement at PNC? A: We encourage everyone who attends PNC to be a part of an Action Group. We expect members to participate in at least 2 out of 3 trimesters a year.
Q: What kind of Action Groups are available? A: Most are general groups, open to married couples, singles, and all ages. There are also groups for men only, women only, and activity groups like basketball and exercise groups.	Q: Is there childcare available? A: Action Groups with childcare available are listed in the catalog as "Family Friendly". We also offer Children's Action Groups on Wednesday evenings.
Q: Can I sign up for more than one Action Group? A: Yes - There is no limit to the number of Action Groups that you can participate in.	Q: Can I sign up once an Action Group has started? A: Most groups close registration after 2-3 weeks to ensure consistency within the group. We do have several groups that have open registration.
Q: Is there a cost to participate in an Action Group? A: Some Action Groups have no cost associated with them, and some groups have curriculum that you will need to purchase. Any costs are listed in the catalog along with the group.
