Compassionate ministries
Uniting with Jesus in finding and restoring people to God. Helping our neighbors in need in a tangible way. Loving our community. This is Compassionate Ministry.
Here are a few ways we are loving our community:

Thanksgiving Meal Boxes
We LOVE that we get to serve over 100 families with complete Thanksgiving meals. Our families are from Maplewood, Meeker, Spinning, Stewart, and Wildwood elementary schools and the Spanish ministry. The food gets donated by our attendees, friends and businesses who would like to participate throughout the month that we collect the food.
We have a fun meal packing night the week before, and then we deliver them to all the schools where the families pick them up.
Meal Program
We have 8-11 families to whom we provide food every week. We give them two dinner recipes and all the ingredients. We also provide some staples such as milk, bread, butter, breakfast (either cereal or oatmeal) and a snack. Our families are referred to us by the school counselors we work closely with. The food gets donated weekly by our attendees who want to be on the list to receive the signup list for the items we need.
We also help members of our church and community with their needs occasionally. While we can’t help with every need, we can send a list of resources that may be able to help where we can’t.

If you want to donate food for our weekly meal program just click the box for Food List Sign up. The list is updated every Monday by 2:00pm. Food must be dropped off at the gym kitchen by the following Monday at 10am.

Community Garden
If you love gardening, this is for you! We have raised and given away over 5,000 pounds of fresh produce since its creation.
The produce we grow is given to the families in our meal program, a senior living facility and others in our community.
Come and combine your love for gardening and your love for our community and help in the garden!
Wishing Tree
During the Christmas season, we have the Wishing Tree. We are so grateful to be able to provide gifts for families at each of these schools - Maplewood, Meeker, Spinning, Wildwood, Karshner, and Stewart. We also provide gifts for the New Beginnings Home and our Spanish Ministry.
